Support Beza's Journey to being a Pediatric DNP
Donation protected
Hi there,
My name is Beza Dawite, and I have been pre-Nursing student at Howard University in Washington, D.C. for the past two years. Now, I stand a rising junior ready to take on the challenges of nursing school!
After moving to the DMV from California by myself, I have made it a priority to make full use of my educational endeavors. I am a student who is not afraid to ask questions and truly enjoys working with others, especially when being able to study what I love. I sought out and shadowed 2 nurse practitioners at the Howard University Hospital in the surgical ICU and alongside other student nurses. In addition, I have ensured my academics remain a priority as I have maintained a spot on the Dean's List each semester with a 3.8 GPA. As a rising Junior, my goal and aspiration to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner has helped me push forward.
By the grace of God, I have been accepted to the Rory Meyers School of Nursing at New York University BSN program, the George Washington School of Nursing ABSN program, and the Howard University Nursing BSN Program! I am blessed to say I have accepted my offer at the George Washington University School of Nursing! With that in mind, I knew attending a private university would come with increased costs.
The George Washington ABSN Program asks for 65,000 tuition excluding housing costs. I will be leasing an apartment in the area with an estimate of 1.9-2.3k a month, with additional costs of basic necessities like food, transportation, etc. On top of those already daunting costs, I will have about $500 in costs for nursing materials such as scrubs, textbooks, immunization costs, etc. As a passionate student, it is discouraging to know that college debt will play a huge factor in my academic journey. No student should experience the stress of finances and have to worry about such while matriculating through school.
If you are able to support in any way at all, through a donation, a share, or even encouragement I would be incredibly grateful.
