Our hearts are heavy as Alexa and Jake’s sweet daughter, Bexley, was recently diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Bexley has a long road of treatments, hospital stays and countless challenges. Bexley was flown to Children’s hospital in Denver on Thursday 10/9. Since then she has went through a bone marrow biopsy, a lumbar puncture, port placement and is already receiving chemotherapy. So far Bexley has shown so much strength through this scary diagnosis for a 9-year-old. Bexley’s biggest concern is losing all her hair due to the chemotherapy.

The journey ahead for Bexley, Alexa (Mom), Jake (Dad), and Astrid (younger sister) is going to be long and challenging for their family. Between the long hospital stays, commuting from the San Luis Valley to Denver for treatments, and time away from work, they are needing all the support, positive thoughts and prayers.
