Support Bex Tyrer's Medical Care
Dear Friends,
It has been a big few days for the close friends of Bex Tyrer. It has been amazing to feel how everyone has come together in emergency response and emotional support.
On October 3 she had an accident at home where her upper body ignited on fire.
She is currently in the hospital in Bali, where they are treating second degree burns on her chest, belly, back, arms and hands.
We are sorry to say, but no visitors are possible at the moment.
We are currently looking at a possible need for additional western overseas care that would involve a private medical flight.
If she does, she may need to be flown overseas where the costs would be between $40,000 to $100,000 USD for the flight depending on where we determine the best care is.
For her immediate medical costs in Bali, it is 20 million a day - approximately $1300 US for the hospital, plus a few different surgical procedures which are approximately $5000 each.
There is going to be a lot of aftercare required and right now we are looking at a total hospital stay of over a month which may be in another country that is more expensive.
As we have financial updates, we will share them here.
Bex has been walking the path of selfless service as a yoga teacher and sacred activist with her work in Palestine and India. We know there are so many people who have been touched by her offerings and love her so much.
WE ARE CALLING UPON YOU NOW FOR GENEROSITY IN SUPPORT. Now is our opportunity to show up for Bex in this incredibly challenging time by helping to cover her medical costs.
She is quite traumatized by the whole situation and will also be requiring a lot of aftercare and emotional support. Thankfully there are many dear friends who are available for this, and we will be doing an updated campaign to raise funds for aftercare.
