Today I met a woman named Beverly at Walmart. I walked up to her and asked if she could help me get some food because I was hungry. Without hesitation without even knowing who I was she reached into her cart and pulled out a snack and a drink to help me.
To reward her kindness I gave her $500… and she instantly began to weep.
As we talked more, I learned about the weight she’s been quietly carrying. Beverly is a mother of three beautiful kids. She’s behind on bills and living with the fear that her power could be shut off. She’s doing everything she can just to keep going, all while holding onto a dream of becoming a Registered Nurse a dream that feels almost impossible right now because of the cost of school.
And yet, even in the middle of her own struggle… she still chose to give.
Let’s rally around her. Let’s help her catch up on bills, keep stability for her kids, and take real steps toward becoming the nurse she dreams of being.
Together, we can remind Beverly that the kindness she gives to the world can come back to her in a powerful way.
Do your thing, internet ❤️
