My name is Jamie, and together with my sister Debbie and our family, we are reaching out on behalf of our mother, Beverly Silva. In December, our family received the devastating news that Mom was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer in her bone marrow that causes pain and holes in her bones. This diagnosis has turned our world upside down, and we are doing everything we can to support her through this incredibly difficult journey. Beverly has always been the heart of our family, offering love and care to everyone around her. Now, she needs our help more than ever.

Beverly now requires 24-hour care, and her husband and we have been by her side, caring for her every day. She had to pause chemotherapy due to hospitalizations and skilled nursing for infections, but her body was responding well to chemo. Her doctor believes she can resume chemotherapy with a less aggressive medication soon. Unfortunately, Medicare insurance has been inadequate and does not cover many of the cancer care expenses. The costs associated with Beverly's treatment are overwhelming. She is facing extensive medical bills, chemotherapy costs, PET scans, medications, gurney transportation, co-pays, and the need for private home health care. These expenses are far beyond what our family can manage alone, and the financial strain is adding to the emotional toll of her illness. We want to ensure Beverly receives the best care possible so she can focus on healing and recovery.
