My name is Betty Cheeks and I am reaching out for help from the community. I have had health issues for a large part of my life. I am on long-term disability, which has been helpful, but we know it does not cover all expenses and phases in life.

After the loss of my biggest support system, my only son, my health took a sharp decline. I have come to the point where I need more care than a home healthcare nurse can provide. I need to move into an assisted living facility, but the deposit is not covered by my insurance and is beyond my monthly resources. I am still able to do a few things for myself, but without around-the-clock support, it is likely that I will lose it. Please help me get safe, supportive housing and keep my independence.
