My friends, today I am asking for your help with paying off my past due bill at Piedmont Natural Gas, here in NC, from the unusually cold months of December-February. The downstairs of the 1920 Craftsman house that I rent is not insulated and the cost just to heat the 900 square feet where I live was way over my budget @ $250/month. After discussing these unusually high amounts with my landlord, he has committed to fully insulating my living space before November, ending those surprise bills that I can't manage, especially when pet sitting opportunities are sparse. Because I'm on a fixed spousal amount of SS, pet sitting opportunities are critical in January-March, which have reduced significantly over the past two years, especially this year when people are hesitant to travel. Thanks to new clients, opportunities will hopefully continue during the remainder of the year and next year I won't need to ask for help.
