My sister, Betty Hughs, became very, very ill. She developed the flu and ended up being taken to the hospital, from which she never got to come home. She developed kidney failure, pneumonia, and infection in her lungs, heart, pacemaker leads, kidneys, and her blood.
All the antibiotics they gave her failed; they said there were none in existence to help her. She was going to die... and she did, with loved ones by her side.
Betty was 73 and on Medicare, as was her husband. They only have social security to live on, and now with her gone, hers stops! PLEASE help us bury this loving woman...
Betty Joan Hughs, 73, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2025, at the University of Kansas-St. Francis Campus.
Betty Joan Clough was born June 3, 1952, in Topeka, Kansas, and was the daughter of Rev. Jack Ferguson and Beatrice Mae (Womack) Clough. She graduated from high school in Gallatin, Missouri. Betty was an aspiring artist who loved God and her family with all her heart. She loved watching nature and admiring the natural beauty God had created in this world. She always did her best to make sure her children and grandchildren had all they needed, whether it was food or a little bit of gas money. She always welcomed anyone coming by, even for just a hug. She had a big heart and will be sorely missed.
