UPDATE 10/22/24 Bette wanted me to tell all her amazingly true lifetime friends thank you from the bottom of her heart. She has been in tears seeing her friends that have taken the time to help with whatever amount they could give! Please keep sharing as she has a ton of work to be done. She didn’t even want me to ask anyone, but what are friends for????
My friend Bette is in urgent need of help after an incredibly tough couple of months. Recently, a fire broke out in her backyard, destroying her fence and causing further damage, but thankfully, the fire department arrived just in time to save her townhouse. As a single mom and dedicated teacher in Volusia County, she has faced one setback after another.
Even if it’s $10 or $20!!
Think about how many friends she has helped in the past (even as their teacher). If you can find it in your heart to help we thank you ❤️
Before the hurricane, her townhouse also began leaking from the second story into the living room. Despite receiving estimates from eight different companies and friends, she feels overwhelmed and unsure whom to trust for the right solution. The quotes have been around $1000 for just one of the leaks and insurance is refusing to pay saying it’s not from rain damage.
Bette truly empathizes with everyone else in Florida facing their own challenges after Hurricane Milton. Living paycheck to paycheck, she would be immensely grateful for any financial assistance for cleanup, new fencing, and roof repairs. All funds will go directly to her house funds.
Additionally, she’s looking for a trustworthy contractor who can accurately assess and fix the leak in her roof! Please send suggestions.
Update10/20/24 she is up to $250 from only 3 people! We would love to see more of her friend’s on here helping her out.
Update 10/21/24 she is up to $275 and we know with all of her friends we can all share this/donate and get her to $1000.
She is so thankful for true friendships from all the past years.
Please, please share❤️…. She has so much work to do on her townhouse without a second income. She thanks you more than word can express.
Love always, Bette Boop (Debbie)
Please consider supporting Bette during this challenging time. Any amount will make a difference! Thank you!
