Do you ever stop to consider how easily we take life for granted? We are constantly bombarded with horrible news stories, but they always feel detached from our reality. We carry on with our lives, unaffected by the hardship of others.

Until one day it happens.

My dear friend Betsy Schmit was diagnosed with Squamid Eccrine Ductal Carcinoma Cancer. Despite receiving this harrowing diagnosis, Betsy is determined to combat cancer. She has embraced a positive outlook and is committed to receiving the necessary treatment.

With that said, it has turned her world upside down, because Betsy is not use to getting help, but instead giving help to so many. She has been a special education educator for 29 years.

Betsy, as a single mother, is and will continue to face an insurmountable amount of medical bills. I ask you humbly, to help Betsy. Anyone who has fought or been a part of a fight against cancer, knows it quickly prioritizes all things that matter. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to ensuring that Betsy can focus on her health without the anxiety of making difficult financial decisions, during this time.
