Support Beth's Healing After Car Accident

Beth Szczygiel, a well-known and loved agility competitor/instructor, was seriously injured in a car accident on February 6th, 2025. She and her new car were struck by a pickup truck that lost control on icy roads only 5 minutes from her house. She sustained internal injuries which called for immediate, emergency abdominal surgery that night. Instead of being in the hospital recovering, Beth was supposed to be competing with her Rat Terrier, Spry, in agility at the Westminster Dog Show.

Beth was returning from the car dealership where she had taken her new Honda CRV in for unexpected repairs due to mice damage, which wasn't covered by her warranty. Beth had her CRV for only 6 months after losing her Honda Civic in a car accident in September 2024. Beth has certainly had a streak of bad luck starting with the September car accident and having to physically and emotionally recover from that. In January, her father's health had declined, and he had been hospitalized for several weeks, and Beth had to advocate long distance for him and her mother to ensure he could safely return home. And now this second car accident, in which Beth sustained serious injuries and will be in the hospital for close to a week.

Beth will have a significant recovery period where she will be missing work and losing wages. On top of losing wages, Beth will have to get a new vehicle and pay for basic living expenses.
