Support Beth's Family in Crisis

My name is Beth. I am raising my 16-year-old son with autism. My son also suffers from crippling mental illness. Raising a special needs child alone bears its challenges. I am the sole provider and sole caretaker at the same time. I work around all of it, but I almost always have to leave work early to tend to him. Times are tough, and we are really struggling.

In addition to all of that, we are living in a house with black mold. The mold is attacking my son's respiratory system. He recently went on an inhaler. It is the worst feeling in the world to not be able to keep your child safe. I have no way of moving to a safer home. We are currently two months behind on rent in this uninhabitable home. My car is four months behind. Our BGE is over $1,000. I can’t say everything I need to in this story . I’m trying hard. I am all he has. We are not recovering from our debt with the side work. I make enough for the day-to-day. We live one day at a time. I pray every day that won't be the day I lose my electric, my roof, or my car. I keep trying to normalize the situation for my son so he does not feel the same gripping fear that haunts me daily.

We are currently behind approximately $8,000 in bills. I'm pleading for help from the community. I am extremely grateful for any amount you can help with. One dollar gets me closer to my goal. Please consider helping my family.
