Beth is the kind of person who lights up every room she enters. As a devoted wife to Bill and loving mother to Kelly and Nicki, she has always been the heart of her family and a cherished friend to so many. Until recently, Beth served as the Library Director of the Johnsburg Public Library, where her wit, kindness, and genuine spirit touched countless lives. Her passion for books, her fellow librarians, and her community was evident in everything she did. Even after her ALS diagnosis earlier this year, Beth’s positive attitude and sense of humor have continued to inspire everyone around her.
Recently, Beth and Bill set out on a long-awaited road trip to explore the beauty of America’s National Parks. True to her nature, Beth had every detail planned, with Bill by her side as her strength and support. Their journey, however, took an unexpected turn in South Dakota, where Beth was admitted to the ICU due to severe breathing difficulties. Now, Beth needs to be transported to a hospital that can provide the specialized care she needs for her ALS—possibly in Minneapolis or Nebraska—so she can be released and return home to Crystal Lake, IL.
Beth and Bill were not prepared to face these ALS complications so soon. The costs of medical transport, hospital bills, and ongoing care are overwhelming.
