Support Bethany’s Funeral and Final Expenses

My name is Clarissa, I’m Bethany’s daughter.

After a long and impossibly hard 10 months, my mom was transferred to hospice. These past 10 months my mom has been battling NMDA Encephalitis. It breaks my heart to say that we exhausted all treatment options and I had to make the impossible decision to allow my mom to pass on.

I never thought that at 26 years old I’d be losing my mom so soon. Anyone who knows my mom and I knows that we were always so close. I always called her my built in best friend. Shes leaving behind so many people she cares so much about, along with myself and her two grandchildren who she loved so so much.

In my eyes, she didn’t lose her battle to this disease. She won. She’s going to be freed from her body and this horrible illness. While our hearts may hurt, and we will mourn losing her, please understand that she will no longer be suffering and that she will finally know peace.

With that said, we’ve been shouldering so many unexpected new expenses over the past year. Between making sure the family I made survives along with handling my moms finances and bills, we are stretched thin. The last thing a grieving family should have to worry about is how to afford anything.
