Dear friends and kind strangers,

I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my dear neighbor, Beth. Recently, she experienced an unimaginable tragedy: her husband took his own life in their home. Beth and her husband were caregivers for the last 9 years to her 82-year-old father with Alzheimer's.

Beth receives a monthly stipend from the Department of the VA as the main caregiver for her father; however, that does not cover all the financial responsibilities she has left due to the loss of her husband’s income. There is no life insurance because he took his own life. In short, she and her father are struggling.

As a community, we have an opportunity to come together and help Beth and her father through this incredibly challenging time. Funds raised will go directly towards monthly living expenses and legal fees as she works through the probate process because they did not have a will.

Please consider donating to help ease the burden on Beth and give her a chance to grieve and heal without the constant worry of their future. Beth does not like the spotlight; even as she is constantly helping out others in her community, she was reluctant to agree to a GoFundMe because she doesn’t feel comfortable asking for help herself.
