Support Beth and Chris After Losing Mom

My brother Chris and I lost our loving mother, Julia Sides, on the 11th of February. She had a long, hard battle for almost 20 years with three very hard autoimmune diseases. Due to these conditions, my brother and I are left with all the medical expenses and all the debt of what a funeral will cost.

We have tried for a long time to come together and help mother financially. Mom did not have life insurance. My brother has already had to take out multiple loans in the past to help mom and our dad (Mark) throughout the years. Dad passed away in May of last year.

Our mother went to my brother’s home on Hospice in January after almost a three-week stay in the hospital. During her time in the hospital, my sister-in-law Jennifer and I had to take off from work to help take turns being with mother. My brother is unable to work due to being medically retired from the military.

At this time, we are unsure how to pay for everything. We are still trying to pay off a loan for her dentist. We had to do that in order for her to have a heart TAVR in 2022. While that helped us have her for almost three additional years, we are still left with the bills for the loans. This all has been extremely difficult financially, especially with both of us having young children still living at home.
