Support Bess Wallis Davis in Her Cancer Battle

Good morning friends and family-
Today I am coming to you for prayer and action on behalf of our dear Bess Wallis Davis. As many of you know, her world was turned upside down in March when she received a cancer diagnosis- an "Invasive Mammary Carcinoma and Ductal Carcinoma in Situ of left
breast and Carcinoma with mucinous features to lymph node" to be exact. Her cancer is "triple positive" (estrogen, progesterone, and HER2) and is requiring an aggressive course of action to treat. She started chemotherapy on March 18 and will finish her rounds in mid- October. 4-8 weeks after the chemo ends, she will have a double mastectomy with reconstruction. Following this surgery, she will begin hormone therapy to put her body into true menopause (a medicine she will stay on for 5 years). Assuming her health stays strong, approximately 4 weeks after her double mastectomy, radiation will begin. And upon finishing radiation, she will embark on the final reconstruction surgery.
This journey feels long and overwhelming, but we rejoice that we are not without hope! Not surprisingly, Bess has had the most amazing attitude throughout this process, and her athletic nature is showing off in her "fight" mentality. That being said, those who love her feel helpless watching her tackle this and we are eager to help. And so, we have decided that starting a GoFundMe to ask for prayer and funds to help lighten the financial load of these treatments is the most tangible way to try to serve her family and bring peace!
As you can imagine, this treatment plan is not cheap. On top of her "covered" medical bills, Bess and her family are also facing: out-of-pocket necessary treatments and appointments, supplements, healing/recovery supplies, additional childcare needs, etc... the list truly goes on and on. And so we ask that first and foremost you would join us in praying for Bess and her family! And secondly, if you feel so lead, consider contributing to this sweet girl in the fight for her life. She deserves it.
To Him be the glory in all things.
Many thanks,
Hutton Ivey
"The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit..." James 5: 16-18
