Support Bertie's Cancer Treatment

We feel awful for asking, but we could really use a hand. We recently received devastating news that our beloved pup Bertie (responds to Bertie-girl, Bert-dog, Dert-Bog, and “beautiful girl”) has thyroid cancer.

Thankfully, her prognosis is good, and with treatment, she is expected to make a full recovery!

However, this comes as my fiancé (Bertie’s mother) has just gotten her business underway, and I have had an unfortunate season for work due to my job being outdoors and highly reliant on weather.

I have just enough in savings to cover this procedure for us, and I assure you, Bertie WILL be receiving treatment. This campaign failing in NO WAY means Bertie-girl will not receive treatment. She is too important to us to even consider that.

However, this will basically devour a nest egg years in the making as we try to get our life off the ground. I have set this GoFundMe to match the lower end of the estimated cost for her care. We can make it through this; we are just hoping the blow can be softened a bit without having to potentially pick up a part-time gig somewhere to get back to where we were.
