My name is Bernie Carty. I am an 82-year-old widow who has worked 30 years with young opiate addicts. Prior to this, I raised my own children and cared for my grandparents who brought me up. Now, due to age and health, I am unable to work.

I have Social Security of $2200 and rent of $1600. I only wish to finish my life in my small cottage where I am safe and secure and where I can care for myself.
