Support Bernard's Life-Saving Heart Transplant Surgery

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support in helping our family member Bernard, a dedicated father of two beautiful girls (Makenzie and Molly) and a loving husband to his wife Kelli, through his life-saving heart transplant surgery.

Bernard has been battling serious heart issues his whole life, and after exhausting all other options, his doctors have confirmed that a heart transplant is now the path he has to head down. As a devoted father and husband, Bernard has always been there for his family—offering love, strength, and support. Now, it's our turn to offer him the same by donating anything we can to his cause, to allow his family to be with him at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston, where he will unfortunately have to reside for an unknown amount of time until a heart donor is available for his life-saving surgery.

This is an incredibly difficult time for our family, not just emotionally, but also financially for his two young daughters and wife to be able to spend critical and crucial time with him while he awaits a donor for a heart transplant, and the cost of the travel to and from Boston, and for what could be an extensive hospital stay. Bernard’s wife, Kelli, is doing everything she can to care for their two young girls, along with his sister Amanda, and mother and father, but the financial burden is something they simply cannot bear alone and also not allowing them to be together as a family at this trying time. We’ve set a goal of $10,000.00 to cover Kelli and the girls' travel expenses to be with their father and her husband as they try and navigate through this surgery and hospital stay. Every dollar counts, and no contribution is too small. Your support will not only provide the financial relief for Bernard, but also for his family that so desperately needs and should be with him at his time! It will also give them hope during this incredibly challenging time as they wait for a donor to spend as much time together as possible. The more people who know about Bernard’s situation, the more we can increase the chances of him getting through this life-saving surgery he so desperately needs to continue to be there for his daughters and wife. Bernard is a kind, generous, and free-spirited person who has touched the lives of many. He has always put his family first, and now it’s time for us to come together and help him get the second chance at life he deserves. He is a devoted father and husband who has the biggest heart in the world but yet is so desperately in need of a new one. We know that times are tough for many people right now, but every little bit helps.
