Bernadette is my stepmom, and she is facing the unimaginable loss of her only daughter, Bridget, who passed away unexpectedly. Bridget was recently planning on moving to be closer to family, and her sudden passing has left our family heartbroken and searching for ways to honor her memory. In the midst of this grief, Bernadette is now faced with the overwhelming responsibility of arranging Bridget’s cremation, something no parent should ever have to do alone.
