We are devastated to share the passing of Elani Zarayakob, a loving single mother and the heart of her family. She leaves behind her only son, Bereket Zarayakob, who is now facing this unimaginable loss while attending UC Berkeley.

Bereket has been supporting himself through college, and with his mother’s passing, he no longer has a childhood home to return to or a parent to lean on. He is now on his own, both emotionally and financially.

We are raising funds to help Bereket stay on his path, completing his education and building a future his mother always believed in. Your support will help cover housing, basic living expenses, and give him a foundation to stand on during this incredibly difficult time.
