Donate to Benson and Carisi's Medical Emergency Treatment

Hey everyone! It has been an insane 2 weeks for two of my furbabies, and I have been encouraged by so many people that I should do this to help with some of the unexpected emergency financial costs.

Here is their story:

Benson and Carisi are partners in crime.. Carisi came into "Claw and Order" because everyone convinced me Benson needed a kitten, and there was a kitten in need of a home. These guys are BEST FRIENDS and just like true partners in crime, they decided to need urgent care days apart.

Benson was the quickest diagnosis and the one who was the easiest! Through xray and examination, it was discovered that he has bladder stones - but they were tiny enough that his vet believed they would dissolve with the prescription diet for the rest of his life.

Shortly after Benson started feeling better, Carisi was not himself. I thought he was just depressed because Benson was sick and not playing. After several days, my gut told me to bring him to urgent care. Carisi was a complicated case. What first was diagnosed as an upper respiratory infection, my furmama gut knew there was something more. On his 3rd trip, it became discovered his anal glands were extremely clogged/early abscess infection and he had to be sedated for treatment. The vet and I felt GREAT.

Then my heart shattered. The next day, I thought I was going to lose Carisi. The vet had me bring him right back. He had a fever that was higher than it's been, he was shaking, and the vet offered me two choices. One choice (the least expensive) was the give him fluids, and I continue the antibiotics at home. The second choice was more expensive but it was hospitalization foe the day. Carisi is just a baby, hes barely lived, so I had to chose the hospitalization option, which involved blood tests, IV fluids/IV antibiotics and monitoring. I needed to have all the tests done to make sure his organs were okay since he had a high fever for 4 days! Carisi also received treatment to help him go to the bathroom since he was extremely backed up and was in pain so he was not able to poop on his own. That night the vet was extremely hopeful that the rest could be treated at home.

Today: Carisi is doing SO much better. He is presenting more as himself, and this proves I made the right choice. I have continued his antibiotics and I am very hopeful, and also know I made the right decision. Carisi was not able to get ahead of the infection on his own and definitely required the assistance.
Benson bounced back quickly from his medical emergency.

Two back-to-back emergencies and prescription food, has depleted my funds. My second job, is in its slow season, and it is also when my school checks are lower due to vacation weeks. It is taking a lot for me to do this, and I would not be asking if it was just for me. My furbabies are my world and I put their needs before my own.

I am extremely grateful for any amount that gets donated. Benson, Carisi, and the entire crew of "Claw and Order" appreciate it. ❤️

Any money that is donated will go towards the cost of their unexpected medical emergencies, Benson's prescription food, and rebuilding their emergency fund/pet insurance.
