✨ Support 9-Year-Old Ben as He Fights Lymphoma

Our sweet 9-year-old, Ben, should have been celebrating his birthday with cake, presents, and laughter. Instead, he spent his 9th birthday in a hospital bed after being sick for over a week with symptoms that kept getting worse. What we hoped was something minor quickly turned into something life-changing.

On November 24th, during an emergency surgery to address issues in his intestines, doctors found a mass in his colon. That same operation required removing parts of his small and large intestines as well as his appendix. We prayed for good news, but on December 5th, our worst fear became a reality:

Ben was diagnosed with lymphoma.

He is only nine.

He should be playing, laughing, and living carefree.

Instead, he is preparing to fight a battle no child should ever face.

What Comes Next for Ben

Ben has a long and difficult road ahead. On Monday, he will undergo another full day of procedures, including:

• Surgery to place a port for chemotherapy

• A lumbar puncture

• A bone marrow biopsy

• Additional labs, scans, imaging, and testing

Once chemo begins, he will have to be hospitalized for at least a week at a time for each cycle. This will continue for 6–9 months.

The hospital where Ben is being treated is far from home, which makes every visit, every treatment, and every emergency even more challenging for our family—physically, emotionally, and financially.
