Help us make a memory that will last forever. For those of you that don’t know, my sister’s and I’s Dad have been through a lot medically in the last few years. He had two strokes, heart attacks, and back surgeries. He was also going to physical therapy to strengthen his body weekly along with many other doctor appointments. To top it all off he had his apartment burn down in December of 2024 and unfortunately had to start over from nothing.

Recently our dad found out more unfortunate news regarding his eyes. On March 26th, 2026, our dad went to the Emergency room because he started losing vision in his right eye on the 24th. After being in the Emergency room for 12 plus hours, and many tests later our dad was told nothing was super emergent and could go home for the night. On the 27th our dad needed to go back for additional testing and eventually got results on what was going on. He suffered from a stroke behind the eye which was caused by the optic nerve swelling and cutting off blood flow. The official diagnosis is NAION (Non-Arthritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy) and he was told that the damage is permanent and most likely going to lose most or if not all vision in his right eye. The Doctor said, there’s nothing they can do to prevent, treat, slow down, or change the outcome. He was also told that there's a 20 percent chance for this outcome to happen to his left eye in the next 5 years, which is considered high risk in the medical field.

I’m reaching out on the behalf of our dad, Ben and his Fiancé, Meghan to see what we could do to make a Wedding happen in such short notice. They set a date for September 12th, 2026. It doesn't have to be a money donation, but ideas or even advice would help tremendously. Our Dad and his Fiancé were planning on getting married next year of 2027. Since the latest news has occurred our dad is afraid that he wouldn't be able to visually experience his own wedding. Let alone all the other important events and memories he would love to visually witness but, unfortunately might not get the pleasure to do so. With all of this being said my sister’s and I are looking for your help to make this moment as memorable as possible.
