Support Bennys road to recovery
Donation protected
My beautiful big brother Ben, affectionately known as Benny, has unfortunately been diagnosed with bile duct cancer. After four long months of procedures, tests and unknown - we finally have answers.
Bile duct cancer is a rare and aggressive cancer that usually affects people who are, on average, aged 72 - adding to the medical enigma that is Benny.
He will now undergo a major operation, which carries a recovery period of 4 months. This will then be followed by 3 months of chemotherapy.
I have started this GoFundMe page to help support Ben and his wonderful partner Averil. Ben will have to leave his two jobs that he loves and Averil will have to reduce her hours to care for Ben. There will a lot of travel required, especially in the 2 hours between home (Lismore) and the hospital (Brisbane).
The funds raised on here will go towards petrol, bills, accommodation and costs associated with this tough fight.
Thank you everyone for your love and support of Benny, Averil, myself, our mum Linda and our families. He will get through this next chapter with the unbelievable strength, positivity and fight he has shown throughout this whole process.
