Since the beginning of this year, my younger brother, Benny, has been battling stage 4 thyroid cancer.

In the fall of 2023, he noticed a lump in his chest and was having serious aches and pains. The first doctors he saw thought he had a hiatal hernia, but after more tests he was referred to an oncologist. It was then confirmed he had thyroid cancer and it had spread to his sternum and lungs.

Fortunately, Benny lives in Ohio, about three hours away from the Cleveland Clinic, where he is able to get the best care possible. In the spring of this year, he underwent surgery to remove his thyroid and sternum. They performed these surgeries back to back- it was a long and stressful couple of days, but he remained strong and positive throughout. He is now undergoing his radiation treatments. They are unsure how long this treatment will last, but we're hoping once he is done, he can work on his recovery to being cancer-free.

The cost of travel, lodging, and food as well as loss of work has been a burden on my brother and I am asking, if you are in the financial situation to helpsupport him through this journey, please donate. He has taken all life has thrown at him this year with no complaints and with strength and determination to fight and defeat this cancer.
