Support Benny Bruce's Fight Against Cancer

In March of 2025, Benny went to the ER for severe headaches. This was followed by brain surgery and a diagnosis that it was indeed brain cancer.

Benny Bruce, has been with the Library for almost two decades. Over those years, he has moved from circulation to the PR Department as the Media Production Specialist. He usually is the one person who you don't notice, as he is in the background taking photos and video to document the amazing stories that happen at the Library. Each year, he creates a summer reading wrap-up video to showcase all of the hard work staff has done during our busiest time of the year.

In early 2025, he worked tirelessly to create our testimonial video to promote the Library's millage with the stories of over a dozen patrons. His eye for detail and talent for storytelling is just the tip of the iceberg - what really makes him stand out is how willing he is to genuinely listen to others, help without being asked, and being a good friend. He is very selfless, as he became the caregiver for his sister and elderly mother. In 2023, his sister passed away. Last year, his mother's health started to waiver and she began dialysis treatments.

This GoFundMe is to help him with any medical or living expenses he will have as he continues to be the sole caregiver of his mother.
