My name is Joseph, and I’m reaching out to help my good friend Benny, who recently lost his job under difficult circumstances. Benny was working a shift at Burger King when a situation inside the restaurant quickly became aggressive and unsafe. In that moment, Benny stepped in to defend himself, his coworkers, and the workplace. His intention was simply to protect those around him and prevent things from getting worse. Unfortunately, despite trying to do the right thing, Benny was let go from his job after the incident went viral on Facebook.

Anyone who knows Benny knows he’s always been a hardworking and dependable person. He takes pride in showing up, doing his job well, and helping the people around him. In that moment at work, Benny reacted the same way he always tries to live—looking out for others and standing up when something isn’t right.

Benny is also a devoted father to four young children who depend on him every day: a 5-year-old daughter, a 3-year-old son, a 2-year-old son, and a baby boy who is only 4 months old. His children mean everything to him, and providing for them has always been his top priority.

The sudden loss of his job has put Benny in a tough financial spot. He’s actively searching for new work, but in the meantime he needs help covering basic expenses like rent, groceries, and transportation while he gets back on his feet and continues supporting his family.
