Benjie Mahigab is a cherished friend who is currently facing a very serious health crisis. Recently, Benjie was admitted to the hospital in Waconia after doctors discovered a mass on his liver, along with another concerning spot on his lung that requires further testing. On top of this, he is battling oral thrush while his body is already under great stress. Because of the complexity of his condition, Benjie will soon be transferred to Fairview Hospital at the University of Minnesota for additional testing and specialized care. Right now, he is resting comfortably under observation, and we are grateful for the medical team caring for him.
However, this situation has brought an overwhelming challenge for Benjie and his wife—they do not currently have health insurance, and the financial burden of hospital care, testing, and treatment is already mounting. The uncertainty of what lies ahead is daunting, but we are hopeful that with the support of our community, Benjie can focus on what matters most: his healing and recovery.
If you feel moved to help, we humbly ask for your support. Any contribution—no matter the size—will go directly toward helping Benjie and his wife cover medical expenses and allow them to focus on his recovery. If you are unable to give financially, your prayers, encouragement, and sharing this message would mean the world to them and to all who love them. Thank you for surrounding Benjie and his family with kindness, compassion, and hope during this incredibly difficult time. Please keep them both in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate the days ahead.
