Hi, I'm Kiri, and over the past year, my brother and his family have been trying to keep their heads up as the waters of hardship continue to rise. From the heartbreak of losing a family member, to health struggles taking them in and out of the hospital, and costly unforeseen home repairs. Most recently, my nephew, Benjamin, was hit by an SUV while riding his e-bike in a protected intersection. Thankfully, he was wearing a helmet and survived. He was taken by ambulance to the ER for his injuries and is home now recovering.

To make matters worse, however, the driver was uninsured, which leaves the economic responsibility of medical bills, lost wages, and recovery of Benjamin's e-bike (taken from the scene of the accident by a towing company) up to Benjamin and his parents. This is the type of ask you never want to make, and I certainly wish I wasn't making one now, but my family could use some financial help. There are many Big Things happening in this world, and our sympathies and attentions are scattered and overwhelmed. Making a donation to my brother's family won't fix the Big Things, but it will help a good family struggling through hard times.
