Benjamin was born with a very rare heart disease called Absent Pulmonary Valve Syndrome with Tetralogy of Fallot. Since birth, he has faced unimaginable challenges, including three open heart surgeries at just 3 months old, 4 years, and 17 years. Now, Benjamin is preparing for his fourth major surgery, scheduled for May. He was born without the pulmonary valve, which is crucial for regulating blood flow between the heart and lungs. This condition caused significant complications even before he was born, and each surgery has become more complex as he’s grown older. The upcoming procedure is expected to take at least 10 hours, with increased risks and potential complications due to the effects of previous surgeries. Recovery will be long and difficult, and the financial burden of medical bills, travel expenses, and lost income from months away from work is overwhelming.

Benjamin would never ask for help himself, so as his father, I am reaching out on his behalf.
