On September 6, 2024, our world changed when our son Benjamin was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Benjamin had always been a healthy, active child, so when he began experiencing abdominal pains, chest pains, fatigue, and leg pains, we were concerned but never imagined it would be cancer. After a visit to the ER at Advent Health on September 5, he was immediately transferred to McLane Children's Hospital. The doctors ordered a bone marrow biopsy, and hearing the words 'your son has cancer' was completely devastating and heartbreaking. His bone marrow was 98% filled with cancer cells, and immediate action was needed to save his life.
Since his diagnosis, our family has been navigating a whirlwind of treatments, hospital stays, and uncertainty. The emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming. Funds raised will help us cover travel to the clinic, treatments that are not covered by insurance, and any other expenses that arise as we fight alongside Benjamin. With my husband being a disabled vet and myself unable to work consistently, things are extremely difficult. We are so grateful for the support, prayers, and outpouring of love from our community. Any help you can provide means the world to us as we support Benjamin through this battle.
