Support Benicio's Journey to Alabama
Donation protected
I'm a volunteer at North Central Los Angeles animal shelter where Benicio was set to be euthanized on Aug. 2. At 10 months old, he was found tied to a tree behind the Smart and Final in Highland Park. He spent three months in the shelter, only to be redlisted for kennel stress. With an interested adopter in Alabama, but no rescue backing, I adopted him rather than see him killed.
Now we need to get him to the adopter in Alabama. Transport costs between $500 and $925 and can take from four to seven days. The adopter is willing to drive to Los Angeles to get him, but she is retired and on a fixed income. The costs of gas, food and lodging for the journey would also be between $500 and $925.
- Shelters in Southern California are packed and euthanizing for space. There are simply too many dogs and not enough homes. He is currently in boarding, for which I am covering the cost. Please help Benicio get to his forever home.
