Support Benedict’s Critical Recovery & Cancer Fight

Our dad, Benedict, is currently fighting for his life.

Just days ago, he went into septic shock caused by pneumonia that spread into his bloodstream. His lungs became severely infected, and the lack of oxygen and dangerously low blood pressure nearly shut his organs down. He was rushed to the ICU, placed on strong medications to keep his heart pumping, hooked up to oxygen, and fed through tubes.

He experienced terrifying complications including heart rhythm problems Atrial fibrillation & dangerous PVCs → risk of stroke , Acute kidney injury from sepsis + medications , Critically low potassium & phosphorus → muscle/heart risks.and critically low electrolytes that have affected his brain and weakened his muscles. For a moment, we didn’t know if he would open his eyes again.

By a miracle, he finally woke up.

Since we learned about his cancer last year, he completely turned his life around fighting every day to stay healthy for the people he loves most, especially his grandkids who adore him and give him a reason to keep going.

But he is still very sick and has a long road ahead. He’s battling bilateral pneumonia, dangerous heart complications, and cancer-related brain swelling, severe malnutrition, and weakness that keeps him from walking or caring for himself. He requires:
* Long-term antibiotics
* Kidney and heart monitoring
* Ongoing physical therapy
* Speech/swallow therapy to prevent further aspiration
* Multiple specialists caring for his lungs, kidneys, cancer, and brain Help after discharge medical equipment, nursing facility then when stronger home health, and therapy.

Our dad has already been through so much this year with his cancer treatments, and now this crisis has added even more medical needs. We are doing everything we can to focus on his healing but he urgently needs help with medical bills, medications, physical therapy, Nursing facility followed by home health care, ongoing specialist visits, and continued cancer treatment after he leaves the ICU.

Any donation will make a life-changing difference. If you can’t donate, please share this page or keep my dad in your prayers.

Thank you for helping give our father a fighting chance at recovery.
We are so grateful he’s still here with us.

With love and hope,
Adrianna, Kelsey & Family
