Hello, My name is David, and I have been lucky enough to grow up having Ben Woodruff as my big brother. Ben has touched many lives through his art, passion for falconry and wildlife, and most importantly, by being a genuinely caring person.
In April 2024 Ben suffered a severe cardiac arrest followed by some strokes. The attack was caused in part by a defect he has had since birth. Emergency services rushed him to the hospital where he was in ICU and then recovery and therapy for several weeks.
As his brother, I know that Ben means the world to countless people who care very deeply about him. And it is for that reason that I asked for your help. At the end of 2023, Ben lost his job and had been struggling to make ends meet while he was looking for work. I set up this gofundme in hopes of offsetting his mortgage payments, providing for his animals, and addressing any other expenses including the medical expenses that may be incurred during his recovery process. This account has been managed by myself, and Ben's parents, and any donations are 100% provided to Ben.
With the help and prayers from all of you, Ben is doing as well as can be expected. He is talking, joking, and regaining much of his personality. His recovery is amazing, but he has been learning to pace himself. He has been able to pay off his bills and complete all his therapy and is now preparing more video contact for his fans. That said, there will be a long, steady road to recovery over the coming years requiring patience and perseverance.
THANKS to all of you for your patience, help, letters of support and financial contributions. It has been very touching for Ben and his family to know there are so many that enjoy his informative, videos and presentations.
Now that the initial needs have been met, we decided to still keep this page open for those who are still interested in contributing to Ben's ongoing informative video channels. We know times are difficult for everyone, and it is hard to ask for help, but if Ben has ever helped to inspire you, educate you, or just bring a smile to your face with his big heart and comical antics, we humbly ask you to consider helping us to get Ben back on his feet again. Anything helps and will be profoundly appreciated. His plans are to use future funds to help him get around easier in the great outdoors with equipment, gear and recording devices that are more conducive to his fast paced recording schedule.
You can hear from Ben regularly on his YouTube Channels:
