My nephew, Ben Thompson, needs a little immediate help as he heals from an accident and can't work.

On Aug. 6th, he was on his break at Valley Elder Care (a nursing home in Grand Forks) and took his motorcycle to a gas station to buy lunch. On his way back, he was hit by a driver who didn't see him. Luckily, Ben saw the truck begin to turn into him and was able to brace himself for the impact. He was thrown from his bike, and the injuries included his scapula being broken in half, a lung contusion, and being badly banged, bruised, and scraped up. He spent a few days in the hospital, but it's really a miracle that it wasn't much worse.

Ben will be 19 this September and just graduated in May. He has begun a career path at Valley and is a dedicated CNA. He is also very into working out/physical fitness--he cannot do either for the foreseeable future. He has immediate bills to pay including his phone bill, car, etc., so I'm starting this fund to help him out as he is laid up and healing, to help him get by until he's cleared to work again. Any amount is appreciated... thanks for keeping Ben in your thoughts!
