Our hearts are completely broken.
On March 26th, we lost our beloved son, husband, father, brother, son-in-law, nephew, cousin, grandson, and friend, Ben Scott, far too soon in a tragic motorcycle accident. Ben was a bright, larger-than-life soul who brought energy, laughter, and love everywhere he went. He faced challenges in life, but he always rose above them with strength and resilience. That was who he was.
He leaves behind his beautiful wife, my daughter Alysia, and their three incredible boys—Ashton (14), Phoenix (14), and Mikey, who will be turning 9 on April 8th. These boys adored their dad, and the void left behind is unimaginable.
In just a few days, Mikey will celebrate his 9th birthday… his first without his dad. A day that should be filled with excitement and joy now carries a heartbreak no child should ever have to feel. Ben loved celebrating his boys, and we know how deeply he would want Mikey to still feel special and surrounded by love.
Ben wasn’t just part of our family—he was one of the pillars that held it together. He was the one you could count on for anything. He could fix anything, build anything, and somehow make everything fun along the way. Some of us in the family had a saying—“JCB” (Just Call Ben). No matter what you needed, you just called Ben, and he would be there with a smile, ready to help.
He cared deeply about every single person in his life. There are countless things he did for others—quiet acts of kindness that many of us will never even know about—because he never did anything for recognition. It simply came naturally to him.
We could truly write a book about Ben. Even in his short life, he gave, experienced, loved, and lived more fully than most do in a lifetime. That’s the kind of man he was—and the kind of loss we are all now trying to process.
Alysia has always been the heart of their home, caring for their family every day, while Ben worked hard to provide for them. Now, in the midst of grief no one should ever have to endure, she is facing the overwhelming reality of carrying the financial burden on her own.
If you knew Ben, you knew his heart. If you didn’t, I can tell you this—he loved his family deeply, and they were his entire world. He also loved his friends and would genuinely give you the shirt off his back, even if it meant he had none.
I’m asking, from the bottom of my heart, for our community to rally and come together and support Alysia and her boys during this devastating time. No amount is too small. Every single donation, share, and prayer helps lift some of the weight they are carrying.
If you’re able, please consider donating to their GoFundMe and sharing this post so we can reach as many people as possible.
Now it’s our turn to be their “JCB” for them—to show up, to lift them up, and to remind them that they are not alone in this.
Even if you are not in a position to donate, it would mean the world to our family if you could post your tributes to Ben. It truly lifts our spirits and we want everyone to know all the lives our amazing Ben has touched ❤️
