We’re reaching out to the football community and beyond to support one of our own – Ben Harris, a dedicated and loved player for Ascot United FC, who recently suffered a devastating injury on the pitch.
During a recent match on Easter weekend, Ben sustained a serious ankle break and significant ligament damage. The severity of the injury means that surgery is required, and heartbreakingly, it also marks the end of Ben’s football career.
Ben has been a stalwart of non-league football, well known and highly respected across the leagues. His contributions to the game, both on and off the pitch, have left a lasting impact on teammates, managers, and supporters alike.
Off the pitch, Ben is a self-employed and a devoted father to a young family. The sudden loss of income and is a huge burden during an already challenging time.
We’re asking anyone who has played alongside Ben, supported him from the stands, or simply wants to show solidarity to a non-league footballer in need, to consider donating what they can. Every little bit will go toward his recovery, rehabilitation, and helping support his family through this unexpected and difficult transition.
Let’s rally around Ben like he’s done for so many teams over the years.
Wishing you a full and speedy recovery, Ben – your football family is behind you all the way.
Thank you for your support.
