Help Ben Haakenson Recover from Snowboarding Injury
On March 20, 19 year old Ben Haakenson suffered a serious snowboarding accident. While riding Ben took a hard fall and scorpioned— a term for a brutal crash when the toe side edge of the snowboard catches and causes a quick fall onto the stomach bending the feet over the snowboarders head. This crash caused Ben to break multiple vertebrae in his back and be immediately rushed to emergency care. Doctors had to transport Ben to Billings Clinic Hospital to receive trauma surgery fusing his T4-T6 vertebrae and place 6 screws to stabilize his back.
Ben is now facing a long and extensive road to recovery to regain his strength and mobility. As you can imagine, the medical bills from his surgery, hospital stay, and emergency transport are overwhelming.
Ben is a strong, determined young man but he and his family need our support during this challenging time. Any donation, no matter how big or small, will be a tremendously help. If you’re unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing this page and keeping Ben in your thoughts and prayers.
