Ben Black is a flight nurse and paramedic who is from Hosford, FL. He started his career at Calhoun-Liberty Hospital at the registration desk and quickly realized his passion for healthcare, medicine, and helping people. He went to EMT school and worked on the ambulance for Calhoun EMS while going to nursing school. His career goal this entire time was to one day work as a flight nurse on a helicopter, and he worked hard to obtain the skills, knowledge, and experience to make that goal a reality. Ben's compassion, kindness, and altruism have made a lasting impression on everyone he's come into contact with. It's because of these wonderful traits that Ben is beloved by all his friends, family, and coworkers. Not only is Ben a brilliant and talented nurse, he also is an amazing musician and plays the guitar and sings. He is in a band and also plays, writes, and records his own music.

Unfortunately, in early August 2025, Ben suddenly fell ill and was diagnosed with Peripheral T Cell Lymphoma, a rare and aggressive type of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. Ben is currently undergoing treatment at a top-tier cancer center in Florida and needs the help of his family, friends, and community to persevere through this trying ordeal. Ben has dedicated his life to helping others in need, and now we can return the favor and help him through these challenging times.
