Ben has developed a blood clot in his leg and is unable to work until it heals. Between Sheena’s knee surgery, Ben’s ER visit last June, and the sudden loss of one car, debt has piled up and we are struggling to get by. We can put medical bills on payment plans, but Ben’s prescriptions are costing us about $500 out of pocket, and we’ll be losing at least $1,000 in Ben’s wages. Our best prediction has us about $1,500 short for bills and other expenses this month. We hate to ask for help, but we’ve blown through our emergency fund and we are just barely hanging on.
