My name is Gloria Thompson, I am Ben and Angella Thompson's sister-in-law. My husband and I are currently in Canton, North Carolina supporting them at their home in this time of need. We are trying to raise $15,000 to help support Ben and Angella in their medical crisis and the damage to their home.

On October 5th, 2024, my brother-in-law Ben suffered a massive stroke in the base of his brain stem, leaving him unable to walk, talk, and swallow, and with his whole left side weak. This occurred right after Hurricane Helene devastated their home with a landslide, which caused the loss of power, water, and the use of their septic.

Now, this precious family requires your help financially. We are calling upon all of you because the insurance company has said they will not cover his rehabilitation. We are asking you for this help because both are unable to work at this time. Angella, his wife, will have to possibly move out of state temporarily to care for her husband during his physical therapy, leaving them in a financial crisis, and away from their home and family.
