Many of you know Emilio Fontan, one of the longtime doormen here at The Columbia. Emilio has been a kind and steady presence in our building since 2014, always greeting us with a smile and lending a helping hand.

Sadly, Emilio recently experienced a devastating loss: his mother passed away following surgery last week, just a year after his father’s death. He is currently on leave to be with his family during this incredibly difficult time.

As a community, we’d like to come together to support Emilio in any way we can. One of the other doormen is kindly collecting cash donations, and for those who prefer to contribute online, this GoFundMe has been created.

All donations will go directly to Emilio and his family to help ease any financial stress as they navigate this tragic time.
