Hi everyone, my name is Anela, and I’m creating this on behalf of my brother Makai and our family. Makai is a hardworking high school student who balances classes with a part-time job, saving every dollar he can for college at Colorado State University as a computer science major.

Recently, he was involved in a traumatic hit and run accident that totaled his car and left him with multiple injuries, including a broken right wrist and broken ribs. Recovery has been painful and slow, making even simple day to day tasks challenging. On top of managing schoolwork and healing, he still needs to find ways to get to class and work, all while trying to save for a replacement vehicle. This unexpected crisis has put a heavy financial strain on our family. We’re now facing mounting medical bills, the cost of replacing his car, and the pressure of keeping up with everyday expenses, all while supporting Makai through the most important semester of his high school career.
