My name is Mark. I'm trying to raise money for our dog, a Fox Hound named Bella, that was shot on 12/14/2024 by a hunter at approximately 8 a.m. in the morning. She made it back to our home with the wound the picture shows. It was a miracle she got home, never mind making a 30-mile trip to a 24-hour emergency vet.

The bill for the surgery was $4,800.00, plus she'll need future surgery because of all the muscle damage that occurred. She'll have months of physical therapy, never mind the mental damage of being shot. Bella is a sweet and kind dog; all she was doing was roaming the woods. My wife and I are devastated that this even occurred.

We are both retired and are on Social Security, so for those people in our position, you know vet bills can be devastating. Bella needs all the help she can get; it's going to be a long road for all of us.
