Hello everyone, my name is Bella, and I recently just left an abusive relationship. I met the man I loved six years ago and moved in with him. The beginning was amazing and some of the most memorable experiences I ever had in my entire life. A year or two later, the mask had begun to come off. The physical and verbal abuse began and lasted until I left. I had begged him to seek help for years and he refused every time. Recently it got really bad, and I had to make the hardest decision of my life and leave the situation. He left for a few hours, and I grabbed my most important possessions, my dog, got in the car and drove away. I had to leave everything I owned behind, before he came back. We had a joint savings account that we both invested in, but I had no access to it. I am grateful enough that I have a friend who is giving me safe haven for the time being and helping me get employment. I am requesting only 2k to help since I had to relocate to another city and have nothing. The funds would help with clothing, food and a few bills for the next couple months until my employment gets rolling.
