Hello to the wonderful people of my community and the world at large!

For those who don’t know me, my name is Bella Orobaton and I am an Actor, Writer, Educator, Visual artist, and Activist originally from the Seattle area, and now currently based in New Haven, CT. I am a Masters student at the David Geffen School of Drama (DGSD) at Yale where I am working towards my MFA in Acting. The 2025-2026 academic year is my third and FINAL year of school before graduating!

As you may know, in 2020 DGSD became tuition free! This made it possible for me to attend graduate school in the first place. For the past 2 years I have supported myself with my savings. However, my well managed personal funds have come to an end and I am doing something incredibly vulnerable and asking for help from my community and from those who don’t yet know me.

The financial assistance I am asking for is to cover housing and food costs in this final year of training. The acting program is incredibly rigorous, with 6 days of work a week and 12 hour days. This money would help me to stay afloat but most importantly, it will help alleviate some of the weight of the uncertainty that comes with trying to pick up additional work in my hectic and unpredictable academic schedule.
