The veterinarian gave option of euthanization or emergency surgery... I chose life!!!! She's not just a horse. She's part of our family. Already given the tremendous loss, we've been through, I wasn't about to let our equine companion just go... she still has a purpose!!! Not even comparable horse and human, but it's the love in the heart. Joy that it brings to your life and healing from God. More times than I can count,Bella would rest her head on my shouldes as tears would stream down my face. She knew it. She would just sit so still.... And let you kiss her nose and cuddle her...
Because she knew she was needed.
Oliver was one of the hardest worker, provider.
Husband teammate captain...he took care of his family in an abundance! When he passed away, I thought sell everything. Tighten up the ship, battened down the hatches... nothing extra... It's just you and the kids, and they certainly do eat a lot;) on my own with God and 4 sweet babies!!! How LeAnn??? Horses are a luxury. Think survival!!! How are you going to keep up?? And of course, you hear the colleague stories of the surgery's needed, although we do our best, it happened. Last night and she almost died right in front of us.
By the grace of God and our hard work Trinity taking on a job at a local barn so she can afford hay and feed etc we were able to keep these blessings. Just being honest here... I'm doing my best but to keep up with these kids... It's a lot!! After all they do have Oliver and LeAnn DNA :) they're ready to take on the world having the Holy Spirit in their hearts as Jesus is holding our hands and hearts. Letting people know the hope that's within them.
anyways, I digress, just getting real with y'all haven't posted in a while. God is good. Whether it's watching the joy on Trinity's face as she jumps over 3 feet at eventing competitions.. (Her daddy was definitely a mountaineer and a skydiver) she can make dreams come true in the face of adversity, great loss, pain and sadness.
God brings you great joy. In so many of his beautiful creations. To see my children all on the back of her,as she sits still and looks at me knowing she has precious cargo on board!!! Just to look at her, kiss her, yes, I love to kiss my horse's noses, and I love the smell of them! That was enough for me.
So the question came,Mrs. Johnston, you need to make the decision Now! As I see, the horse collapse to the ground again!!! Her head in Trinity 's arms holding her face in her hands, saying it's okay Bell Bell it's okay!!!! Just get UP!
Euthanize your horse or get her in immediate surgery. Estimate which we Kane already surpased was over was $10,000 plus care.
Given the situation that many of you know, already, I just couldn't do it. I love Bella, she loves us. She has given us so much Peace & Love and joy. Equine therapy at its finest! So she had surgery last night and is doing well as can be. She made it through surgery. We will be going to visit her tomorrow. She will be there for a week. And i'm stall rest for many months. We're praying for a quick healing. And a speedy recovery. I'm sharing this with you because this is Trinity's horse completely and she inspires me.
Love you All
