Bella is a 7-year-old English Lab who recently went to the emergency vet after collapsing on the ground. She hadn't eaten for 2 days and was very sick. We took her to the emergency vet, and she was on the verge of passing away. She was unresponsive, her tongue was grey, and she was very weak.

After some tests, we found out she has IMHA, an autoimmune disease that attacks your red blood cells, and her white blood cells are taking over her body. She is getting transfusions, ultrasounds, and has been to 2 emergency hospitals and doing anything to help keep her alive but even with treatment, there is a 10-20 percent chance of survival. Her long care medical medication will be really expensive She is everything -to us, and we keep hoping she gets better. We want to thank all the staff at East Rochester Emergency Vet and Orchard Park Veterianry Medical Center for all there help during this difficult time and I can’t thank them enough.

Update: Bella’s home and is stable she is on medication for the rest of her life. She is hanging in there and everyday is a blessing she’s with us
